Of the image, Cody Cobb says:
"During the winter of 2018, I found myself unable to sleep while living out of my car in California’s Mojave Desert. My days and nights became inverted and I soon found myself spending hours wandering the dunes and badlands of Death Valley in the dead of night. The light of my headlamp revealed the strangest formations and even stranger silhouettes against a dense field of stars. I allowed myself to get lost in this alien landscape, slipping into some sort of fugue state in my sleep-deprivation. These photos are my attempt to capture that internal state of disassociation expressed in the external world."
